Returning user, but just a note on that login partnership

Great concept and very fitting for the times. However, some of the campaigns are made from random people and not fact checked at all, which calls into question ALL of the campaigns. Additionally, some of the campaigns have not been updated in 10 years. This is a paid app, so it should be fact checked and up to date in the least.

I mistakenly followed a campaign that I absolutely do not support. There is literally no option to delete a campaign. Unreal!

I love the idea of this app, but I bought this app to boycott the billionaire oligarchs supporting Trump. Can you please update the app to reflect this? So far, it your app doesn’t show Amazon, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, and Coca Cola as supporting Trump. I’d also like to see a list of those in line with the DEI policies such as Target & Walmart. I’d also love to see more anti-Trump products to support. There are only 2 on the list so far.

It was good for a while, but now the apple is just crashing whenever I open it.

Rather disappointing to buy the app only to find that I had no way to personalize my boycott lists... just have to rely on someone else theoretically doing their homework.

This app has a lot of problems. Why can’t I remove myself from a campaign? Why are so many products mislabeled? Why does the barcode scanner not find the product, but when I type in the barcode number it comes right up? This app was free on android when I first started using it, it’s definitely not worth paying for.

Glad I got it. User friendly, convenient, you’d be surprised how many brands are connected and unethical.

The developers of this app do NOT value their userbase. I have contacted them several times over the past year and have been completely ignored. Either this project has been abandoned and is therefore unsafe to use or they absolutely could not care less.

Doesn’t even support my entire phones screen. Wouldn’t let me sign in and doesn’t even have rankings on how ethical or unethical a product is. Don’t buy

Please refund me your app is totally busted.

if i can’t sign up, I can’t utilize the app, and there’s no clear area in the app or the app store to ask for support. ill update my review if I get help

Love it. Super informative

Overall I think the app work okay. Of course as other people have mentioned, it can be very buggy and difficult to use at times. It can be a bit anxiety inducing when you’re standing in a busy aisle at the store waiting for it to load. But I really love the variety of campaigns you can sign up for and there’s a lot of important and useful information under the bigger campaigns. That being said i’ve noticed sometimes campaigns don’t take into account parent companies since so many companies are owned by just a few so sometimes I end up having to double check.

In a few months of regular use, I’ve found several products on here mislabeled or attributed falsely. I sent corrections and there've been no updates or responses. If you’re hard core serious about avoiding sinister corporate actors who don’t mirror your values, this app falls short.

FYI before you buy, know that it’s obviously politically biased in one direction.

I paid for this app at a family member’s high recommendation. It has never worked… after choosing my campaigns and attempting to scan my first item at the store, the app shut down and won’t work. Each time I reopened the app, it’s at the scanner but shuts off after a few seconds. I have made sure my phone is updated and that I have the latest app version. If anyone can help, I’d sure like to use this app.

I love the idea of this app, but I have to rate it low because it works so poorly with my camera. I have an iPhone 15 pro max and the camera is always unable to focus. The scanner has worked once, but even in perfect conditions it fails the majority of the time. More technically, for the devs, I think it’s failing to switch to the appropriate camera for the focal length or whatever, and it doesn’t focus when I tap it

Getting refund

They’ve done the hard work of navigating the messy shadowy corporate exploration but I want to type in a company, see it’s ownership tree then select a company to boycott and have the barcode scanner tell me if it’s connected. I don’t care about most of these campaigns.

Last few items I scanned either produced errors or “no results”. Tremendous potential here but I guess it’s hard to be self sustaining when you are challenging the system

The family tree needs to be vertical instead of horizontal. Sending people corporate tree info requires a screen recording instead of a screen shot. This seems like a pretty big oversight. Also there’s nothing about the Kellogg’s boycott on there which surprises me and no way to enter the boycott in. Buycott should be the number one resource on which products to avoid, especially now. Has this app been abandoned?

This app and the entire concept is amazing! As with most new apps I’m sure there are bugs but one in particular for me, and only reason I’m putting 4 instead of 5 stars is the barcode scans NEVER works. I can easily type it in but if it’s something that needs to be adjusted I definitely wanna bring attention to it! Ty for the app and the freedom to know who I’m giving my money to.

This app has the biggest list of products which makes it great but ALWAYS CRASHES! Please for the love of god fix the crashing! It’s been years

The app frequently stalls, locks up and stops performing. I do love the ability to choose the issue that you are trying to support but the app needs to work in order to do that. Especially a paid app, and there is no support available. Highly disappointing

Very bad app always down

I really like this app. You can search products or scan a barcode while you’re in the store. Recently thought, I open the app, it defaults to the barcode scan mode, and if I click X to close out of scan mode, the app crashes. Please investigate! I’ll check for updates. Thank you!

There’s things that I know I have to boycott that it’s telling me it’s no conflict.

The app is great for mindful purchasing. However, it glitches and crashes a lot. I hope the developers are able to roll out an update that keeps that in mind.

The app doesn’t work most of the time. Barcode reader is the worst and when I try to use it 9 out of 10 times it does work and keep turning off.

Keeps on shutting down I can’t manage to keep the app open for more than 10 second It is really bad app

Up until about 2 months ago - anytime I would scan something- the app would shut down. NOW within the last 7 weeks as soon as I open the app - it either shuts down OR is frozen on the scan page but doesn’t allow scanning. I’ve deleted and rebooted phone multiple times.

Dang I had hopes for this app. I was excited to use it. But literally 2 minutes in and it started to glitch.

I like the concept but needs to be more reliable. I have joined a few campaigns and have additional companies to add to these campaigns but when adding a company I get kicked out, attempted several times but no luck before it quits the app and I need to go back in, the companies I want to add are all around us so its important to add them so people are aware. Let me know once resolved. I did refer the app to a dozen friends and family so would like for it to be more efficient and effective in supporting our values. Thank you

I bought the app today and wanted to set up my login information so that I could customize for the campaigns I care about. I don’t have FB so I tried typing in a username. The app would not accept a single character before flashing the “no go” red circle with a line through it. I’m highly disappointed and want my money back. I’m not getting FB just to use your app and I should not have to.

It’s a bit buggy and hard to navigate im unsure of how to leave causes and sometimes the navigation is quite confusing Needs more information on corporations and more items in general but i have faith in this app hire more people and keep at it and i think this app will be absolutely amazing one day

This app is a great resource. Although it needs updates. There are some things that go against my campaigns, but are not listed as conflicting.

The idea is amazing and helpful but the bugs on this thing is insane. I saw a review from SIX YEARS AGO that mentioned my exact experience and I find it absurd that it hasn’t been fixed since then. I can’t scan 3 items in a row without the app just shutting down and finding myself in my Home Screen. If we’re paying for this app please fix it!!

Definitely needs work- scanner doesn’t work when you back out of a scanned product to use it again, crashes on occasion, lots of gaps to fill in products so it sometimes takes more time to get your answer. That being said, money speaks. This is a good resource, and as long as it continues to improve, it will remain a helpful resource.

The idea behind this app is great, but they desperately need to fix the problems with it. For one, the barcode scanner is terrible and it takes forever to actually get it to read barcodes, but even once it goes through you sometimes get a “product not found” error message. I’ve tried it on products that should definitely be in the system and it still happens. Secondly and most importantly, the information about the products is often not accurate! The first item I scanned showed that it had no conflicts with the cause I was supporting, but a simple google search told me that was completely false! It took less time for me to find that out on google than it did for me to get this app to recognize the barcode! So sad because in theory, this app could be an awesome tool especially in the times we’re currently living in. People need an easy way to boycott! Please fix these issues!

The app is broken and is clearly no longer maintained. You can’t even log in. Apple should remove this from the App Store until the developer(s) get it fixed.

Target is governed by anti-LGBTQIA+ customers/terrorists. They should not be considered supporters of my community.

I really appreciate this app helping me avoid giving my money to companies that support sweat shops or that work against labeling GMOs or that support SOPA and open up the presidential debates on both sides and many other causes but why dont I see causes that support the 2nd amendment or amcause against Drs castarting children and giving them puberty blockers and other causes that millions of us care about?

This app is glitchy and really hard to browse. I honestly don’t think I’ll use it as it’s easier just to google things. A lot of really basic/common products are missing so it’s honestly not worth the money.
